With great success, hundreds of participants, and boundless enthusiasm, the 4th Cleisthenes Night Run took place on the evening of Saturday, August 31, 2024. Despite the unpredictable weather, the event attracted over 400 participants, including both seasoned athletes and regular citizens eager to test their limits and enjoy the unique atmosphere of a nighttime race.

At the same time, a large crowd lined the routes, cheering on the runners with enthusiastic applause, boosting their morale, and creating a festive atmosphere like no other.

The event featured four distinct routes: three along the seafront on Miaouli Avenue and a historic new route connecting Ancient Sikyon to the modern city of Kiato. This new route, which attracted the most interest, started at the Archaeological Museum of Sikyon and ended at Miaouli Square, passing through three communities and locations of significant cultural and historical importance.

Alongside the race, the 22nd Panhellenic Torch Relay of Volunteer Blood Donors also took place, an event carrying a profound social message about blood donation and this unique act of human-to-human solidarity. Torchbearers carried the flame of love and selflessness from Pefkia Kato Diminio to Miaouli Square, further raising awareness within the local community about voluntary blood donation.

The success of the 4th Cleisthenes Night Run was not only due to the warm support of the participants but also to the essential contribution of organizations and volunteers.

Flawless organization and event safety were made possible through the invaluable cooperation and support of the Police, the Coast Guard, and the Hellenic Red Cross, who ensured the smooth flow of the race and the safety of all participants.

Special thanks go to the medical personnel, who were on standby throughout the event, ensuring that all runners received immediate and professional care when needed.

We also extend our gratitude to the dozens of volunteers and municipal employees who worked with dedication and zeal to prepare and organize the race.

Many thanks to our sponsors, whose support was crucial to the successful realization of this significant athletic event.

Additionally, the contribution of local associations was invaluable, while the presidents of the Local Communities – Vangelis Panou (Ancient Sikyon), Giorgos Kotoulas (Moulkio), and Alexandra Avramopoulou (Kiato) – played a decisive role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the event and encouraging local community participation.

As we conclude this year's successful event, we look forward to the next, the 5th Cleisthenes Night Run, with a commitment to providing an even more exceptional experience for everyone!
