Souli
The historic village of Souli is located in the semi-mountainous zone of the municipality of Sikyonia, at an altitude of 620 meters, offering a panoramic view.
It overlooks the valley of the Elissonas River and provides one of the most beautiful views of the Corinthian Gulf. In a single glance, one can distinguish the Corinthian Gulf, Kiato, Voa, Loutraki, the Saronic Islands, Central Greece, and more.
At the center of the cobbled square stands the village's main church, the Dormition of the Theotokos, built in 1906.
Most of its residents are farmers, with the main crops being sultana grapes, Corinthian raisins, and olive oil-producing olives.
The village was the center of operations for the Greek forces during the Greek War of Independence and, along with Kryoneri, served as the main locations where the forces of Kolokotronis, Petimezas, and other local commanders set up their camps during the struggle.
