Klimenti

Klimenti is located on the lush green slopes of Mount Ziria, at an altitude of 960 meters.

Its residents are primarily engaged in agriculture and livestock farming.

It is one of the oldest and most historically significant communities in the municipality, with a notable role in the Greek War of Independence. Historians estimate that the village was first settled around 1400 AD. During the Revolution of 1821, it served at times as a military and administrative center for Theodoros and Gennaios Kolokotronis.

From the time of King Otto until 1912, Klimenti was the seat of the Municipality of Pellini.

The village's main church, St. George, was built in 1904 and features an impressive wooden iconostasis.

Within the village's boundaries, there are children's summer camps, and since 2011, the first Environmental Education Center in the area has been in operation.
