Tarsos (Lower and Upper)
Lower Tarsos: A mountain village at an altitude of 1,040 meters, located in the western part of the region, 100 km west of Corinth.
A significant landmark is the abandoned Monastery of Panagia tou Vrahou, built in the shadow of a massive rock that evokes thoughts of Meteora. The monastery's church is constructed within a crevice of the rock, always open to visitors who wish to enjoy the stunning view of Ziria, especially on winter afternoons.
Upper Tarsos: A village at an altitude of 1,050 meters, near the border with the Achaia region, on the eastern slopes of Chelmos.
Alternative forms of tourism have developed in the area, particularly climbing activities. The cliffs towering above the village have climbing routes that attract enthusiasts and reward visitors with a breathtaking view of the Feneos plain and the valley of the Olvios River.
